Comment: This was my first time traveling abroad, and I was worried about going alone. However, the immigration process went smoothly, which made me feel relieved.
During my first days at university, I often took the wrong bus and got lost the way. It was also very cold outside and sometimes my phone stopped working...! However, when I asked people for help, they were always kind and guide me, so I gradually adapted to the Canadian life.

The classes mainly focused on presentations and discussions. It was very challenging for the first two weeks, but from the third week, I started to get used to listening to English. I really enjoyed my final presentation!!
My host family had worked on cruise ships for many years, and they showed me many photos. They usually talked slowly and helped me to improve my English skills. I was also able to talk a lot about my family, my hometown, and Japanese culture.
In addition, I became close with my friend’s host family. They took me to Banff, and I experienced ice skating and home parties!! These were very special experiences for me!

The five weeks went by very quickly, and I felt sad to leave... It was a very meaningful and fulfilling experience.
